The Heart of Clinton

Founded in 1989, Clinton Main Street is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation, revitalization, and long-term vitality of Downtown Clinton and the Clinton Square Historic District. Guided by the nationally recognized Main Street approach, we work to strengthen the economic, cultural, and social heart of our community

Our efforts focus on supporting local businesses, encouraging reinvestment in historic properties, enhancing public spaces, and creating meaningful community experiences that attract residents, visitors, and entrepreneurs alike. By honoring Clinton’s historic character while embracing thoughtful growth, we help ensure downtown remains a place where commerce thrives and community connects.

Clinton Main Street is led by a full-time Executive Director and governed by a nine-member volunteer Board of Directors, supported by dedicated committee volunteers who contribute their time, expertise, and passion. Through strong partnerships with local businesses, property owners, civic organizations, and the City of Clinton, we serve as a catalyst for sustainable economic development and community pride.

Together, we are working to preserve Clinton’s heritage while building a resilient, welcoming downtown for generations to come.
